Pigeon Hockey Supply Co. wasn't born in a corporate boardroom or a focus group. It was born out of necessity on the frozen rivers and wind-whipped outdoor ponds of Northern Manitoba.

Growing up here, hockey isn't just a sport you play inside a heated arena—it’s a culture shaped by thick ice, frozen laces, and the willingness to haul your gear anywhere there's a smooth patch of winter ice.

​

During the pandemic, when the indoor rinks went dark, we all found ourselves returning to our roots. We headed back out to the local ponds, the community ovals, and the river paths. But packing up for a day on the outdoor ice exposed a massive gap in the market. Hauling heavy, awkward gear in flimsy, over-engineered bags that ripped in the sub-zero cold or couldn't handle the trek from the truck to the pond just wasn’t cutting it.

We realized that players, coaches, and refs across Canada were all facing the exact same problem: standard retail bags just weren't built for the real-world hustle of the game.

So, we decided to build something better.

We don’t believe in over-complicating things. A great hockey bag shouldn't require an instruction manual, nor should it have fifty flimsy zippers destined to split after one season.
